About Dr. Poscablo-Stein

Dr. Cristina Poscablo-Stein, MD founded Wellspring Integrative Psychiatry with the mission of helping patients achieve mind-body wellness. She is a general adult psychiatrist and sees patients across the lifespan—from early adolescents to geriatric.

During medical school, Dr. Poscablo-Stein became interested in the emerging field of Integrative Medicine where she developed a unique healing philosophy. Her belief that understanding the whole of the person behind the presenting complaint and striving for wellness as the goal of care rather than only the alleviation of symptoms is the cornerstone of Wellspring’s mission. She continues to immerse herself in opportunities that broaden her understanding of mental health issues from a truly bio-psycho-social perspective, and it is from this stance that she approaches the care of each patient.

Dr. Poscablo-Stein has a deep passion for women’s mental health specifically around the time of motherhood. She understands the special considerations of women during her childbearing years, particularly with respect to medication use during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Her specialized offering of pre-conception counseling, psychiatric evaluation, and treatment during pregnancy and postpartum can help women make the best decision for her mental health care and the well-being of her children.

Dr. Poscablo-Stein also has an interest in the unique mental health needs of adolescents, college/graduate students, and young professionals. For many, these are times filled with life transitions and stress that can impact mental wellbeing. Lifestyle approaches can be particularly helpful for these individuals.
